Lara was retained by Hacker to capture the complicated traverse of cars, busses and foot traffic both northbound and south across our southern border in Laredo, Texas, via a newly designed transit hub meant to expand upon a minimal 1980's Reagan-era building, with a central processing building, and vehicular wings on either side.
PAE Engineers, headquartered in Portland, have a vibrant new building that both lives and breathes, by recycling human waste as well as gray water and turning them into fuel for the building. Brilliantly designed by ZGF with artist rendered hyper graphics detailing each floor's main lobby space.
Lara traveled to American Forks, UT late fall to capture the newest National Parks visitors center to come to life, by the talented folks of Montana's A&E Design. The near-snowy condidtions made for mysterious, disappearing and reappearing overhanging mountains and lent a moody feel to the shoot.
On a return shoot to Spokane to capture the Conservation District's new digs which are seated at the base of a quarry, the sun was finally out post wild fire smoke and haze, and the buildings raw materials untreated corrugated steel and cedar really popped in the sunlight. Great project by Integrus Architecture!
